Charleston Charm

The day after we threw a birthday party for Alex's 30th (think chic party-ware with a touch of Ja Rule), we threw our luggage, snacks, and camera in the Telluride, gave Nina girl a ton of smooches, and hit the road for 6.5 hours until we reached Charleston. We rented a tiny house on AirBnb and explored as much as we could of the holy city for the 2 days we were there. We wandered around the cobblestone streets, gazing from beautiful buildings to bold ironworks, in awe of the charm that consumed every corner. We stumbled upon a darling cafe that I loved a lot and didn't ever want to leave. If you find yourself in Charleston, you have to visit Harken Cafe. Grab a coffee and a baked good (we had the double chocolate brownie cookie- totally awesome) and a good book or friend (it's a laptop free-zone in the dining area), and enjoy this special space. Make sure to check out the restroom- there's a beautiful brass sink & the walls are covered in vintage botany prints (!!)- you know, the things dreams are made of.
