Summer Fruit-Infused Water with Fresh Herbs

Summer is officially here! But we didn’t really need a calendar to tell us that here in Florida. We’ve been melting for months! 🥵😅 Beat the heat and give your glass of water a boost by infusing it with fresh fruit and herbs. I love keeping a batch in the fridge all summer long. Not only is it super refreshing, but it boasts a bunch of nutritional benefits like added vitamins and antioxidants. Take it poolside or beach side while you soak up the rays to stay hydrated! Here I’m sharing two simple combinations I typically make, but you can have fun with this and come up with your own unique flavors! Don’t forget to add some fresh herbs such as basil or mint for that extra goodness!

First, I start with selecting organic fruit and herbs. Sort out any heavily bruised pieces and give the rest a good rinse with a white vinegar spray or Force of Nature. Grab your favorite glass pitchers or jars, fill with fruit and cool filtered water, and set in fridge for a few hours or overnight for flavors to meld. That’s it!

I recommend only making what you think you will consume in a few days. It’s important not to let the fruit sit for too long as it can start to harbor bacteria. Once it’s been a few days, it’s best to make a new batch.

Combo 1 | Lemon, Cucumber, Basil/Mint

Combo 2 | Strawberries, Blueberries, Basil/Mint
